Grant Application with Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville

In part as a result of our work on the Gigapixel Viewer, a tool for displaying very large, high-resolution montaged image sets, we were offered the chance to subcontract on an NEH Digital Humanities start-up grant being pursued by Jessica DeSpain, Assistant Professor of English at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. Professor DeSpain's grant application seeks to enhance The Wide, Wide World Hypermedia archive., a collection relating Susan Warner’s novel, The Wide, Wide World. The grant proposes adding advanced image comparison and viewing capabilities to the The Wide, Wide World Hypermedia archive, and releasing the resulting code to the Digital Humanities community.

The Gigapixel Viewer can be see in action here.
